Imaging can help us accurately diagnose and treat your pet after they have experienced an injury or if they have an ongoing illness.

Injuries and Ailments Diagnosed via Radiology and Ultrasounds

Cat in arms of doctor

Digital imaging like radiographs or ultrasounds are used to diagnose a variety of medical conditions in dogs and cats. Common conditions diagnosed include broken bones, joint problems, tumors, and abnormalities with the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidneys, and bladder.

Radiographs

The common term for a radiograph is an x-ray. We use radiographs to detect a variety of orthopedic abnormalities such as broken bones, hip/elbow dysplasia, arthritis, spinal conditions, and bone tumors. Radiographs can also be used to diagnose problems with your pet's heart, lungs, spleen, liver, gallbladder, GI tract, and urinary tract.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to create real-time image that is highly detailed. Ultrasound imaging is completely painless and does not have any side effects! At our clinic, we do have an ultrasound machine and are able to detect obvious abnormalities within your pet's abdomen. For more complicated cases, we can refer you to a specialist to have a board-certified radiologist perform your pet's ultrasound
